Yohji Yamamoto x Adidas platform sandals
Extremely rare archival sandals from the Spring/Summer 2004 Yohji Yamamoto x Adidas collection – one of the earliest collaborations between the legendary Japanese designer and the German sportswear giant, before the official launch of Y-3.
Design inspired by traditional Japanese “ninja” sandals, reimagined through a futuristic lens. Features a bold red footbed with subtle 3-Stripes branding.
Iconic Yohji Yamamoto signature on the side.
Originally shown on the Paris runway in 2003, styled with everything from sheer mesh tops to tailored black suits.
This SS04 collection also featured artworks by Saeko Tsuemura and explored the connection between body and garment – these sandals were part of that vision.
Originally retailed only in select fashion boutiques in Japan and Europe.
Condition - very well preserved for its age – only minor signs of previous handling.
